Laro: Been jumping around the planet for a few years now. My academic background is in Political Science/International Relations, that somehow led me into the development/humanitarian world (due to chance rather than planning). Life takes us to strange places. In my case a string of countries (China, North Africa, East Timor, Macedonia, Somalia, Yemen, Myanmar, etc..) that were not in my to-do list when I was back home, and yet it has become an amazing journey in which one learns new things everyday. Thematically I have also drifted a bit, from the original intent of security/political analysis to human rights, sustainable development/energy, women economic empowerment, vocational training, governance, refugee/IDP protection and conflict prevention.
